I am a compassionate and caring individual with lots of experience working with children and youth over the last 10 years. I am currently pursuing my Master of Public Administration and hope to one day play a role in designing the policies that affect our society's most vulnerable people. I have a Social Work degree as well and have spent the last several years working with diverse populations in my community. I grew up in Cole Harbour and am from a military family which means I moved around some when I was younger. On a personal note, my brother (who will be 17 soon, which I cannot believe...) has several disabilities including Autism. Experiencing his challenges and strengths has been my whole world for as long as I can remember. Growing up with a sibling with high needs has given me substantial skills of compassion and understanding that I use with all people I encounter. Since a very young age, I have been the person who makes friends with those who need a friend most in every situation. I have also been the natural babysitter in a lot of situations including at every wedding, party and Christmas dinner I have ever been to. I love working with kids and bringing fun and kindness to any childcare situation. I love the beach, getting outside, going for walks, crafts, baking and reading! I would love to get to know and support your family through ABC!
