What makes me me? Well, I grew up in a small town in Ontario but spent most of my time traveling around for swimming competitions. Although I don't compete anymore, I still spend most of my time swimming, or, as my family and friends like to say, being an "aquatic waterdog." Other things I do to pass my time include cooking and baking, working on carpentry projects, gardening when the weather is nice, creative projects such as painting, drawing, bracelet making etc, and basically anything that is hands on and physical. For several years now I have worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at town pools, and for a time teaching private swimming lessons. I have always loved working around pools, but I feel as though it might be time for me to change up the pace. Working with kids has always been a passion of mine and I figured that my time spent as a swim instructor would transfer well to babysitting. I have looked after family members' kids as well as family friends' kids throughout my life. I am excited to have to opportunity to learn and grow alongside the little ones I am taking care of.
